GEN-I d.o.o. was created when the company GEN energija d.o.o. acquired an ownership share in Istrabenz-Gorenje, trgovanje in prodaja električne energije, d.o.o.

In less than three years, this Slovenian company, founded in 2004 by Istrabenz Energetski sistemi d.o.o. and Gorenje d.d., has extended its operations to most countries in Western and Southeastern Europe.
