Inauguration of a new office building in Kromberk
At noon today, the new commercial premises “Poslovna hiša Istrabenz Gorenje” were officially inaugurated in Kromberk. The ceremony was attended by employees from all three companies that will be housed in the new building, as well as representatives of the local community.
The president of the management board of Istrabenz Gorenje, Robert Golob, was visibly pleased since the construction of the building was completed within the planned deadlines and on budget. “The investment, worth EUR 3.4 million, was completed in nine months and represents precisely what we have envisaged: a stimulating work environment for the parent company Istrabenz Gorenje and the subsidiary GEN-I, and a child daycare center ‘Hiša otrok Sonček’. The move to one common location will save us considerable costs that were incurred in the past from rent and logistical processes associated with our work.”
The office building, with a total floor area of 3,230 m2, is a low energy building that combines several highly advanced environmental technologies: a heat pump for air/water, an in-built treatment plant, a solar power plant, highly efficient insulating materials and a well-thought-out floor plan. These elements together ensure that there is adequate cooling in summer and energy efficient heating in winter. “This energy-efficient building with its environmentally friendly technologies conveys a message that Istrabenz Gorenje wants to share with its employees and the wider environment: our operations are environmentally friendly and socially responsible – whether we are talking about children who are educated according to Marie Montessori principles at the Hiša otrok Sonček daycare center, or international corporations that sell and trade electricity. We inaugurate this new building in harmony with our environment, and I am particularly pleased to see so many members of the local community with us here today”, said Robert Golob.
