More than eighty guests present were addressed by Robert Golob, PhD, President of the Management Board of GEN-I, and Martin Novšak, Director of GEN Energija, among a number of speakers.

The fifth GEN-I meeting attracted representatives of all our major business clients on the Slovenian market. In addition to the Management Board of GEN-I, also in attendance were the Croatian GEN-I representative and two special guests: Urban Prelog, MSc, of the Energy Directorate of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Slovenia, and Gorazd Ažman, Director of BSP SouthPool.
For the partner meetings we compile an overview of the situation on the market, with reasoning and explanations, to present to our clients at the beginning of the new business year. We also presented our assessment of trends in the area of electricity prices for the current year and proposed purchasing strategies.
Both special guests were asked to speak at the event, having been specifically chosen to present useful information to our large business clients. Urban Prelog, MSc, presented the changes envisaged in the new Energy Bill. The new piece of legislation will be one of the first tasks on the agenda of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia in 2012. Gorazd Ažman presented the operations and role of BSP SouthPool. The exchange upped turnover considerably last year, securing healthy liquidity and a status of a fair assessor of prices in Slovenia.

On 18 February 2011, almost 100 of our large business customers attended GEN-I’s 4^th Annual Partner event at the Mons hotel in Ljubljana, where the Group presented its new products and offered its forecasts and guidelines for electricity purchases in the following year.

On 26 October 2011, the credit rating agency Bonitetna hiša i, d.o.o. Ljubljana, Dun&Bradstreet Slovenia, awarded the GEN-I Group the credit rating of 4A2.

This autumn we became sponsors of the GO Volley volleyball club. Our team beat Salonit Anhovo at their first game on Saturday, 5 November 2011. By taking on the sponsorship we have effectively enabled a group of extremely dedicated and talented athletes to continue their good work.
